We have developed many of the industry’s iconic and best-loved products, which are currently found in every supermarket and natural foods store in the country.

History
California Natural Products, the parent company of CalNaturale Svelte, was founded by Pat Mitchell in 1980. CNP was originally a Research and Development company; Pat and his team did much of the early development work on the natural pre-biotic inulin, including several patents. CNP also created and patented many of the original organic rice syrup formulas and rice ingredients. To this day, CNP is one of the nation’s largest purchasers of organic rice, and our innovative rice ingredients are found in hundreds of leading organic and natural products sold in every natural foods store and supermarket.
In the 1990’s CNP built the nation’s highest-quality aseptic processing plant and created the leading rice milk beverage along with many other products including the leading soy milks, chai teas, organic soups, broths, sports drinks and nutritional beverages. We also created the nation’s leading hemp milk, which was awarded “product of the year” in the natural industry. These products were created for our contract customers and are marketed under the brands of those customers.
In 2009, we expanded this tradition of excellence with the introduction of our own brand, CalNaturale. To date we have introduced two branded product lines; CalNaturale Svelte, the sustained energy protein drink, and CalNaturale wine, the premium wine made from organically grown grapes.
Through all of the years and innovations, the constant for us has been our commitment to highest quality with no compromises. We are also dedicated to creating only the finest organic and natural products which meet nutritional needs at an excellent value, while always providing delicious taste.
